SNL Sets Next Three Hosts: Mikey Madison, Jack Black, and Jon Hamm

Saturday Night Live will welcome one first-time host and two returning hosts for its next run of three episodes.

Fresh off her Best Actress win at the 97th Academy Awards, Mikey Madison will make her SNL debut on March 29th, alongside returning musical guest country star Morgan Wallen. Wallen previously appeared on the show in Dec 2020.

Jack Black will return for his fourth SNL hosting stint a week later on April 5th, marking his first appearance on the show since December 2006 , when he and Kyle Gass performed as Tenacious D. His last time hosting the show was a year before that, in December 2005. His upcoming film, A Minecraft Movie, hits theaters April 4.

Black will be joined by musical guests Brandi Carlisle and Elton John, whose collaborative studio album Who Believes In Angels? is set for release a day before their joint SNL appearance. Both artists have appeared the show twice before: Carlisle as musical guest in 2021 and 2022, and John as musical guest in 1981 and host/musical guest in 2011.

Jon Hamm will close out the run of three new episodes in a row on April 12. The actor’s new Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors premieres the day before. Like Black, it will be Jon Hamm’s fourth time hosting SNL. He’ll be joined by musical guest Lizzo, making her third appearance on her show. (She performed double duty in her second visit to the show in April 2022.)

The show is set to go dark again for two weeks on April 19th and 26th before returning for the first of this season’s final three episodes on May 3rd. SNL‘s Season 50 finale airs May 17th.
