A marathon State of the Union address from Donald Trump is pushing network late-night television well past its usual start time tonight.
Trump’s speech ran 1 hour and 47 minutes, breaking the modern record for the longest SOTU in history and delaying the late local news across the broadcast networks. As a result, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon are all expected to air at midnight ET.
Colbert is broadcasting live on the East Coast tonight, positioning himself for an immediate response to the president’s address. Kimmel, meanwhile, delayed his taping so he too could incorporate material from the speech into his show.
Fallon’s episode will also air later than usual as NBC’s schedule adjusts to the extended address, as will his lead-out, Late Night with Seth Meyers. Both shows taped this afternoon prior to the president’s speech.
Gutfeld!, which airs on Fox News, was preempted altogether this evening, leaving The Daily Show on Comedy Central and Watch What Happens Live on Bravo as the only two shows among those we track airing episodes on schedule tonight.

Thanks, very helpful!
Of all the blowhards that have ever existed, Trump is the blowhardingest.
