Nick Jonas will join an elite class of late-night guests tonight when he makes his 20th visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Only three other Fallon guests have hit the same milestone in the show’s eleven-year history. Lin-Manuel Miranda leads the pack with 22 total appearances, followed by Michael Strahan and Will Ferrell with 21 appearances each.
Among the club’s three current members, Michael Strahan is unique in that all 21 of his viists to the show have been formal interviews with Fallon. Both Will Ferrell and Lin-Manuel Miranda counts also include cameo appearances on he show.
The same will be true for Jonas, who has has made 15 formal visits to the show, either alone or with his siblings as the Jonas Brothers. His other four appearances came as cameos—to play Pyramid, perform in a stairwell and on Classroom Instruments, and to co-star in a music video for his and Fallon’s original song “3 Dots.”
Jonas’ most recent Tonight Show visit came in August, when he guested alongside Joe and Kevin to promote the Jonas Brothers’ 20th anniversary tour and starred with his brothers in the sketch “Hot Wizard Hotline.”
The three brothers, who will again appear together on tonight’s episode, will have a full slate of projects to promote. Next week, the trio will release their Netflix film A Very Jonas Christmas Movie and its accompanying holiday soundtrack, which arrives just months after their most recent studio album Greetings From Your Hometown. Nick also has his own new music as a solo artist in the works, which he’ll be previewing with a just-announced live performance and brunch event in Las Vegas later this month.
Fallon’s Thursday lineup also includes WNBA player A’ja Wilson, comedian Fiona Cauley, and Matthew Rhys.
