In one of his first moves following his Saturday Night Live exit, Michael Longfellow is kicking off a new stand-up comedy tour.
The recently departed SNL cast member spent part of the summer on an 11-city run after wrapping Season 50, calling it the “No Worries If Not Tour.” Now that he’s back on the road—and officially post-SNL—he’s given the follow-up an aptly self-aware title: the “Worries If Not Tour,” in what would appear to be a wry acknowledgement of the uncertainty that follows leaving the show.
Longfellow’s new tour spans the rest of this fall and continues into early next year, with stops in 21 cities. It kicks off tonight in Cleveland, Ohio, where he’ll perform five shows over three days (October 30–November 1) at Hilarities.
Separate from the solo tour, Longfellow will also return to New York for three sets at The Stand on Tuesday, November 4, alongside comics Joe List, Ian Fidance, and others.
With dates stretching from this month through next April, the tour fills a schedule that unexpectedly opened for Longfellow two months ago, when news broke that he was departing Saturday Night Live. The performer confirmed the news shortly afterward, writing that he wished he was returning “but, so it goes.” He called his time on the show “the best three years of my life so far.”
