Martha Stewart Crashes The Tonight Show, Joins Show’s Ten-Timers Club

A surprise drop-in on Jimmy Fallon put Martha Stewart in an elite category of Tonight Show guests Monday night.

Though it went unnoted on the show itself, Stewart’s unannounced visit at the end of Fallon’s interview with chef José Andrés was her tenth appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Stewart and Andrés are co-hosts on the new cooking competition show Yes, Chef!, which premiered on NBC last night. “How great is Martha Stewart?” Fallon remarked to Andrés, whose answer was interrupted by a drumroll that cued Stewart to emerge from the curtain.

Though not quite as exclusive as SNL‘s Five-Timers Club, The Tonight Show‘s Ten-Timers Club is a who’s who of show favorites that includes the likes of Pete Davidson, Seth Meyers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tina Fey, Adam Sandler, Whoopi Goldberg, and Maya Rudolph. (Andrés’ appearance was his seventh on Fallon’s Tonight, putting him not far behind Stewart.)

As for Fallon’s’s most frequent guest, that honor goes to Michael Strahan, who recently made his 21st appearance on the show (he was gifted an NBC ID badge on the occasion of his 20th.)

Monday night’s last-minute visit was an easy one for Stewart to make. She had been just two floors up at 30 Rock to guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which also aired last night. In fact, Stewart is outpacing her Tonight run on that show, having made 12 visits to Meyers’ show over the years.
