Colin Jost and Michael Che will take a break from tackling news headlines to tackle some football commentary (and unrelated banter), as guests on this Monday night’s ManningCast aka Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli.
Saturday Night Live‘s “Weekend Update” co-anchors will be Peyton and Eli Manning’s guests during the third quarter of the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers game, airing on ESPN2 starting at 8:15 pm ET.
Peyton Mannings’ Omaha Productions and ESPN jointly released a nifty, SNL-style teaser of sorts for this week’s guest lineup, seen below:
The ManningCast — in which the brothers/NFL vets offer an alternate presentation of any given Monday Night Football match-up — is no stranger to SNL stars past and present. Tracy Morgan, Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Jason Sudeikis, Bill Murray and, most recently, Heidi Gardner (on October 6 of this year) all have paid a visit to previous telecasts.
Similarly, the Manning brothers are no strangers to the SNL-verse, having both appeared on the long-running sketch comedy program multiple times, as well as hosted one episode each.
SNL is currently in the midst of a Thanksgiving break, but will resume Season 51 on Dec. 6 with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon.
