Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Tonight, Jordan Klepper Hosts Tues-Thurs

Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work today with the first in a week of new episodes.

Jon Stewart will kick things off tonight, with The Daily Show‘s Monday night host set to sit down with Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who was the top US military commander in Afghanistan before he was fired by President Barack Obama for publicly criticizing top Obama officials, including then-Vice President Joe Biden. McChrystal is promoting his new book, On Character: Choices That Define a Life.

Senior Daily Show correspondent  Jordan Klepper will then host Tuesday through Thursday. It will be Klepper’s first week behind the desk in nearly two months. (He last hosted the show the week of March 18th.)

Klepper’s guest Tuesday will be filmmaker Matt Wolf, whose new docuseries Pee-wee as Himself premieres on Max May 23rd.

On Wednesday Klepper will welcome celebrated Irish author Colum McCann. He will be discussing his newest novel, Twist, which as released last month.

Thursday will see Klepper sit down with Democratic congressman Jake Auchincloss of Massachusetts, who has become a leading voice in recent months urging that Democrats become “the party of big ideas.”

As we’ve previously reported, Klepper will be back on Comedy Central a week from tonight with his sixth Daily Show-branded special, The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers The Pulse: MAGA: The Next Generation, focused on young voters who turned out for Trump in record numbers during last year’s election.
