Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Desk Tonight; Ronny Chieng Hosts Tues-Thurs

Comedy Central’s Best F**king News Team is back to work today with the first in a week of new episodes.

Jon Stewart kicks things off tonight, with The Daily Show’s Monday night host set to sit down with CNN chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour.

Amanpour, who’s promoting her global affairs program Amanpour and the new podcast Christiane Amanpour Presents: The Ex Files with Jamie Rubin, is no stranger to The Daily Show—she’s guested on the show six times over the years, most recently in April 2024.

She also holds the distinction of being the first guest to sit down with Stewart on The Daily Show twice since his return in February 2024. (She also joined him on his Weekly Show podcast earlier this year.)

From Tuesday through Thursday, senior correspondent Ronny Chieng will host the show. This will mark Chieng’s sixth week behind the desk in 2025, following his last stint the week of September 29.

On Tuesday night, Chieng welcomes filmmaker HIKARI, the director, writer, and producer behind the upcoming film Rental Family. Wednesday brings James Beard Award–winning chef Sean Sherman, appearing to discuss his new cookbook Turtle Island: Foods and Traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of North America. And on Thursday, Chieng closes out his week with comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco, who’s promoting his new Hulu comedy special Sebastian Maniscalco: It Ain’t Right.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and is available to stream the next day on Paramount+.
