It’s another full week for the “Best F**king News Team.” With the election less than a month away, The Daily Show returns to Comedy Central tonight for a week of new episodes.
This week’s just-announced guest lineup is full of authors. Tonight, Jon Stewart—who’s back at the Daily Show desk for his usual Mondays-only gig—will kick things off with a conversation with PolitiFact founder and Duke University professor Bill Adair, whose new book, Beyond the Big Lie, hits shelves on October 15.
From there, Jordan Klepper will take the reins and guest-host Tuesday through Thursday. This marks the eighth time overall that Klepper has hosted since the 2024 season first began in February—in addition to his solo anchor stints, he co-hosted with Ronny Chieng in April and Desi Lydic in July.
Klepper’s guests are set to include author Jason Reynolds, who has a new book, Twenty-Four Seconds from Now; writer and activist Jessica Valenti, who will talk about her new book, Abortion: Our Bodies, Their Lies, and the Truths We Use to Win; and finally, comedian, actor, author, and singer-songwriter Eric Idle (of Monty Python fame) will close out the week on Thursday with a conversation about his new book, The Spamalot Diaries. Idle, of course, is well-versed in the late-night world—in addition to guesting on The Daily Show multiple times, he also hosted SNL four times throughout the ‘70s.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+.
