Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Desk Tonight; Desi Lydic Hosts Tues-Thurs

Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work this Monday, with the first in a week of new episodes.

Jon Stewart will kick things off tonight by chatting with Mo Amer, creator and star of the Netflix series Mo, which released its second and final season last Friday. The Palestinian comic last appeared on The Daily Show in 2019, with then-host Trevor Noah.

Daily Show senior correspondent Desi Lydic will then take over as host tomorrow through Thursday.

Nicole Avant will be Lydic’s guest on Tuesday. The former U.S. Ambassaor to The Bahamas will be discussing her bestselling memoir Think You’ll Be Happy, and the Netflix film she recently produced, The Six Triple Eight, about the only Women’s Army Corps unit of color stationed in Europe during World War II.

On Wednesday Lydic will host actor Julia Stiles, whose directorial debut Wish You Were Here opened in theaters last month and is set for digital release Tuesday.

The Daily Show will then close out the week on Thursday with Lydic’s guest actor Ke Huy Quan. Quan, who took home the 2023 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Everything Everywhere All at Once is back on the big screen in the action comedy Love Hurts, opening in theaters this Friday.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+
