Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Desk Tonight; Desi Lydic Hosts Tues-Thurs

Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work this Monday, with the first in a week of brand new episodes.

Jon Stewart will kick things off tonight with his guest Dutch author and historian Rutger Bregman, whose new book, Moral Ambition, makes the argument that our brightest minds are wasting their talent in corporate jobs when they should be making the world a better place.  Bergman last appeared on The Daily Show in 2019 to promote his New York Times bestseller Humankind with then-host Trevor Noah.

Daily Show senior correspondent Desi Lydic will then take over as host tomorrow through Thursday. Her last week behind The Daily Show anchor desk came in early April.

Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach & Amanda Doyle will be Lydic’s guests Tuesday. The trio, who host the popular podcast We Can Do Hard Things, will be promoting their new book of the same name.

On Wednesday Lydic will host author and YouTuber John Green. Green, whose new book Everything is Tuberculosis looks at the social history of Tuburculosis, which, while curable, remains the world’s most lethal of infectious diseases.

The Daily Show will then close out the week on Thursday with Lydic’s guest actor, writer and comedian Michelle Buteau, who will be promoting the second season of her Netflix series Survival of the Thickest.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+Visit our lineups area for updated guest listings for all the late-night shows and subscribe to our daily newsletter to receive stories like this in your inbox.
