Have I Got News for You Renewed for Season 4 at CNN

More news will be got by Roy Wood Jr., Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black, now that CNN has officially announced Season 4 of Have I Got News for You.

Host Wood Jr. had tacitly confirmed the Season 4 renewal at the close of Season 3’s finale on November 8, teasing new episodes to come in 2026.

Produced by Hat Trick Productions for CNN Originals, the fourth season will premiere Saturday, January 24 at 9 p.m. ET, and be available to stream next day on CNN’s new streaming offering.

“Thank goodness we’ve got Season 4 of our show to make sense of this perfectly normal time we’re in where everything is stark-raving normal,” host Wood Jr. and team captains Ruffin and Black said in a joint statement. “A time in which everything is fine and nothing is wrong. Amen.”

Wood Jr. can next be seen hosting A CNN Special Event: Roy Wood Jr.’s Very Very Very Merry Holiday Special , airing Saturday, December 20, at 8 p.m. ET on CNN, with a live stream available to CNN All Access subscribers.

Since premiering in September 2024, the U.S. adaptation of Have I Got News For You has been a bright spot for CNN, drawing strong ratings on Saturday nights—traditionally a dead zone for cable news—and sometimes outperforming the network’s weekday primetime lineup.

While HIGNFY technically airs in primetime, it leans heavily into late-night sensibilities. The panel format, irreverent tone, and staffing lineup all draw from the DNA of traditional late-night comedy.
