Vice President JD Vance to Guest on Gutfeld! Tonight

Greg Gutfeld has booked his first vice president, with JD Vance set to sit in with the Fox News host’s late-night-style panel show Tuesday night.

Vance is set to appear in studio on tonight’s episode of Gutfeld! for the full hour, Fox News announced Tuesday. The episode airs at 10 p.m. ET.

Per the network, Vance will discuss his new book, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, along with “the current state of the country and other news of the day.” He’ll join Fox News personalities Kat Timpf, Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery, and George “Tyrus” Murdoch.

The booking gives Gutfeld! another high-profile White House guest—and another chance to turn a political booking into a ratings event. Donald Trump memorably appeared on the show in September 2024, when he was still the Republican presidential nominee, helping deliver the largest audience in the show’s history.

That episode averaged nearly 4.9 million total viewers in Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, making it the night’s most-watched primetime program across broadcast and cable. It also drew 744,000 adults 25-54 and 460,000 adults 18-49.

Vance’s appearance comes on the publication day for Communion, his follow-up to Hillbilly Elegy. The new book centers on his return to faith and conversion to Catholicism, and Vance has been making the TV rounds to promote it.

Vance has only one other late-night guest appearance to his name: a 2017 guest shot on Late Night with Seth Meyers that predates his political career, at a time when he was still critical of Donald Trump.

Whether Vance can deliver anything close to Trump-sized numbers remains to be seen. But for a show that has made a point of positioning itself as late night’s right-flank counterprogramming, a full hour with the sitting vice president is exactly the kind of booking Gutfeld! is built to capitalize on.
