Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney Books Conan O’Brien

Conan O’Brien is succeeding David Letterman again—this time as a guest on Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney.

John Mulaney is scheduled to welcome O’Brien to his Netflix talk show next Wednesday, just one week after Late Night’s founding father.

Letterman was among the celebs in tonight’s lineup on Everybody’s Live—one of a handful of recent occasions where he and Mulaney have shared a stage. O’Brien, of course, succeeded Letterman as host of NBC’s Late Night franchise in 1993.

O’Brien’s visit comes a month after Mulaney paid tribute to the former late-night host at The Kennedy Center, where O’Brien received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Mulaney has also guested multiple times on O’Brien’s podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, where the comic recently ranted about his hangups with the SNL50 afterparty.

Also appearing next week will be 93-year-old EGOT winner Rita Moreno. The legendary performer last appeared in late-night in a November 2024 visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Joining Moreno and O’Brien will be actress and comedian Ayo Edebiri. Mulaney and Edebiri are both part of the voice cast for the Netflix animated series Big Mouth, which releases its final season on the streamer on May 23.

Music for the evening will come courtesy of METZ, a Canadian punk band who Mulaney noted are “reuniting for one night only.” METZ announced an indefinite hiatus last October, just six months after releasing their fifth album.

As for next week’s theme, Mulaney and his panel will be discussing whether dinosaurs are put together correctly. (When others zig, Mulaney zags.)

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney streams live on Netflix Wednesdays at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
