Chloe Fineman is heading for a (royal) wedding.
The Saturday Night Live favorite has RSVP’d for Red, White & Royal Wedding, Prime Video’s follow-up to its hit August 2023 rom-com Red, White & Royal Blue.
The original telepic, based on author Casey McQuiston’s 2019 novel, followed Alex Claremont-Diaz (played by Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the first woman President of the United States (Uma Thurman), as his controversy-quelling, Instagrammable faux friendship with rival Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) of Britain quietly warms up into something more.
The sequel’s titular wedding involves not Alex and Henry, but the latter’s younger sister, Princess Beatrice (played by Ellie Bamber).
Fineman’s role has not yet been disclosed, per Deadline. Her previous non-SNL acting gigs have included Netflix’s Freakier Friday, Peacock’s Laid and Twisted Metal, and Search Party.
Zakhar Perez, Galitzine, Bamber, and Thurman all are back for Prime Video’s Royal follow-up, as are Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Clifton Collins Jr., Stephen Fry, Thomas Flynn, Aneesh Sheth, and Malcolm Atobrah.
In addition to Fineman, also new to the franchise are Lena Headey (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) as Princess Catherine, plus Henry Ashton (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) and Alex Høgh Andersen (Vikings).
