Busy Philipps’ Busy This Week Gets Season 2 Renewal at QVC+

Busy Philipps will be Busy This Week for another season.

Variety reports that the actress’s QVC+ late-night show has been renewed for a second season.

Busy This Week premiered in May, airing episodes weekly through July on QVC+ and HSN+. Before its second season officially begins, its first season will continue with four holiday episodes.

The talk show finds Phillips interviewing guests in a “shoppable” surrounding. Her set and wardrobe are available for viewers to purchase through QVC.

“People assume ‘selling’ means less entertaining—but Busy This Week has proven that notion wrong,” said Stacie Tedesco, VP of Streaming for Qurate Retail Group, the parent company of QVC and HSN. The company is currently expanding its content slate, dipping into new genres beyond the traditional shopping network fare.

Past guests on Busy This Week have included Kenan Thompson, Tina Fey, Andy Cohen, Bette Midler, and the cast of Girls5eva (in which Philipps also stars). The show’s executive producer, Caissie St. Onge, also regularly features in segments.

In addition to its regular episodes, Busy This Week has spawned two other recurring pieces of content for QVC+. Busy This Week: The Aftershow features St. Onge and QVC’s Amy Stran recapping the episode’s shoppable items, while Best of Busy This Week serves as a highlight reel of shoppable items on a given theme across the series.

Philipps executive produces Busy This Week with Michael Gleason and St. Onge. St. Onge’s past writing and producing credits include Watch What Happens Live and Busy Tonight.

Busy Tonight was Philipps’ last entry in the late-night space. The Tina Fey-produced talk show ran on E! from 2018 to 2019, producing 105 episodes until its cancellation.
