Revisit Ariana Grande’s Complete SNL History in One Four-Minute Video

More than 11 years after making her first Saturday Night Live appearance, and just over a year since her last go-round as host, Ariana Grande is set to return to Studio 8H for this weekend’s Christmas episode.

No less than Cher, who last appeared on SNL in 1987, will serve as musical guest.

Ahead of Grande’s third turn as SNL host, LateNighter’s podcast partner the Saturday Night Network has put together a breezy but detailed look back at her previous appearances on the long-running sketch comedy series. Hosted by LateNighter’s own Jon Schneider and produced and edited by James Stephens, the highlight reel/mini-doc revisits the sketches, characters, and moments that Grande memorably was a part of.

Included are details on Grande’s SNL debut in September 2014, as musical guest—though she also came out swinging (a sword) that night in a sketch about action figures. When she returned the following season, it was to tackle double duty as host and musical guest. Not long after, the pop star struck up a headline-making romance with cast member Pete Davidson.

Grande’s other memorable SNL moments include channeling Moulin Rouge‘s Satine opposite her future Wicked co-star Bowen Yang; being a part of the first of the show’s “Domingo” sketches; and a game night sketch where we’d later learn she was doing an impression of her own mom.
