Andy Cohen took time out on Wednesday night’s Watch What Happens Live to pay tribute to one of the show’s most memorable callers.
Elizabeth Marks, known to WWHL viewers as “Elizabeth from North Carolina,” passed away in 2021, but news of her death only hit the show this week after a fan posted a collection of her calls to the show to social media and heard back from three of her family members.
Cohen addressed Marks’ death in his “Mazel of the Day” last night, calling her “a beloved friend of the show” who “was a frequent and very animated caller,” pointing out that she had sent him a Cher Barbie doll that still sits on his set.
“Whenever I heard Elizabeth’s distinct voice on the phone line, I knew we were in for a wild, opinionated and very flirty ride,” he said. “Her late night calls brought so much joy to our lives, so I want to celebrate Elizabeth with few of her most memorable clubhouse moments.”
After playing a short selection of clips from some of her most memorable calls, Cohen concluded his tribute by saying “rest in piece, Elizabeth from North Carolina. We absolutely love you.”

It was a longer collection of clips posted to TikTok and Instagram by Bravo fan Christina Cocca that that got the attention of Marks’ relatives, who reached out to her and shared news of her death.
In an updated post, Cocca wrote “Here’s what I’ve been told about Elizabeth: She was a “tornado of fun,” [and a] “firecracker spirit,” she didn’t have children but loved her nieces and nephews (and Andy Cohen and bravo!), had her own shop called “Veronica Scarlett’s Closet,” was loved by her community and had lifelong friends, and her family loves hearing her voice again.”
Cocca, who said she’d spent several days searching for clips of Marks’ calls, added, “these have personally felt really special to share. plus…oh my god, she is hilarious, I spit coffee all over my desk when I edited these together. “
