The NBC Store is going all in on this week’s Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Obsession breakout Inde Navarrette, with a pair of limited-edition items inspired by the year’s biggest horror phenomenon.
The first-of-its-kind SNL x Obsession collaboration with Focus Features, the film’s distributor, features a hat reading “I Love SNL So So So So So Much” and a T-shirt declaring, “I Used My One Wish Willow for SNL Tickets.”
The collaboration didn’t require reaching too far across Hollywood: NBC and Focus Features are corporate siblings under Comcast-owned NBCUniversal.
The designs borrow two of the movie’s most recognizable motifs, swapping SNL into phrases that have become familiar to Obsession fans.
Released in May, Curry Barker’s Obsession became one of the year’s biggest pop-culture success stories, grossing more than $520 million worldwide on a reported $750,000 production budget and becoming the highest-grossing film in Focus Features history.
Navarrette is making her SNL hosting debut Saturday alongside Gracie Abrams, who returns for her second stint as musical guest after first appearing with host Chris Rock in December 2024.
The episode itself is also something of a rarity. October 31 has fallen on a Saturday nine times since SNL premiered in 1975, but the show hasn’t always been live for the occasion. Saturday’s broadcast will be only the fifth live SNL episode to air on Halloween night, following shows hosted by Donald Pleasence in 1981, Dabney Coleman in 1987, Catherine O’Hara in 1992, and John Mulaney in 2020.
Even this week’s concert tee is getting into the Halloween spirit. Breaking with this season’s run of white shirts, the Navarrette/Abrams edition comes in black.
All three items will only be available during the week of the episode. While SNL has produced episode-specific concert tees since Season 45, the SNL x Obsession collection marks the first time the NBC Store has produced additional pre-air, episode-specific SNL merchandise.
