‘What a Kick in the Mirror Balls’: Jimmy Kimmel Mourns Guillermo’s DWTS Exit

Guillermo Rodriguez’s Dancing with the Stars elimination gave Jimmy Kimmel one last chance to rally around his longtime sidekick.

“What a kick in the mirror balls,” Kimmel said as Rodriguez and pro partner Witney Carson joined Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night after being sent home from the ABC competition.

“This is an outrage, an absolute outrage,” Kimmel told the duo. “Will you accept the results or take legal action?”

“I think we should take legal action,” Rodriguez replied.

“I think so,” Kimmel agreed.

Kimmel then turned his attention to Carson, praising the very pregnant pro for what she managed to get out of Rodriguez during their five-week run.

“Your choreography this season has been absolutely incredible,” he told her. “You have taken this lump of Play-Doh and you sculpted him into a masterpiece.”

Asked what she would miss most about training Rodriguez, Carson called him “such a sweetheart” and “so beloved by everyone.”

“Now, Jimmy, you and I don’t have this weird custody battle,” she joked. “You can have him now.”

Kimmel had another idea.

“I was thinking of just adopting you two, and then we can have a whole family here,” he said.

The joking eventually gave way to a more heartfelt sendoff.

“You brought so much joy to so many,” Kimmel told Rodriguez. “And now we have nothing to look forward to ever again.”

Kimmel then cracked that he hoped the upcoming midterms wouldn’t end the same way.

He thanked Carson for taking care of Rodriguez throughout the competition and invited her to visit Jimmy Kimmel Live! with him.

“We cannot break this team up,” Kimmel said.
