KATSEYE is headed back to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon—and this time, the global girl group will take the stage for a full musical performance.
Sophia Laforteza, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung, and Megan Skiendiel will appear on the Wednesday, Aug. 12 episode of Fallon’s show, NBC announced Wednesday. The five members will sit down with Fallon to discuss their new music and upcoming tour before delivering what the network is billing as KATSEYE’s first-ever performance on a late-night program.
Manon Bannerman, KATSEYE’s sixth member, is not included in the announced lineup. Bannerman has been on hiatus from the group since mid-February to “focus on her health and well-being.”
The booking comes as KATSEYE’s third EP, WILD, is set for release Friday, Aug. 14—two days after the Tonight Show appearance. Its five-song tracklist includes the singles “PINKY UP” and “Animal,” the latter of which debuted this week at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
NBC has not announced which song the group will perform.
KATSEYE first visited The Tonight Show on Feb. 4, just days after attending the Grammy Awards as nominees for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. While the appearance was promoted as the group’s late-night debut, it did not include a traditional musical-guest performance.
Instead, KATSEYE’s visit doubled as a promotional appearance for their State Farm Super Bowl commercial. Following an interview and a round of fan-submitted questions, Jake From State Farm emerged from the studio audience and prompted the group to preview choreography from the ad, accompanied by The Roots.
Their Tonight Show return promises to give KATSEYE’s fans—or the EYEKONS, as they’re known—the late-night performance they had been waiting for.
The appearance falls on the same day that the group’s new concert film, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, begins a limited theatrical run. Their upcoming Wildworld Tour is set to follow later this year.
Fallon will have a stacked lineup on Aug. 12, with Matthew McConaughey also joining the show.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with episodes streaming the following day on Peacock.
