After taking an extended July 4th break, Jon Stewart is back to work tonight with the first in a new week of Daily Show episodes.
The show’s regular Monday-night host kicks things off with Christopher Nolan, who’ll be promoting his new film The Odyssey. Nolan directed, wrote, and produced the upcoming epic.
Senior Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta will then take the desk Tuesday through Thursday.
Kosta welcomes personal finance commentator and journalist Beth Kobliner on Tuesday. She’ll be promoting her book Get a Financial Life: Personal Finance in Your Twenties and Thirties.
On Wednesday, Kosta will sit down with Molly Shannon, who’s promoting the Netflix series The Hawk.
Then on Thursday, Kosta welcomes Jake Johnson, who’ll be promoting the Apple TV film The Dink, which he stars in and produced.
With this week’s run, Kosta joins fellow senior correspondents Desi Lydic and Jordan Klepper at five weeks behind the Daily Show desk so far this year. Josh Johnson and Ronny Chieng follow with four. Kosta last hosted the week of June 1.
The show is scheduled to produce four straight weeks of new episodes through July 30. If last year’s pattern holds, it will then take a month-long break before returning in September.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and is available to stream the next day on Paramount+.
