Ahead of its Aimee Lou Wood-hosted episode airing this weekend, Saturday Night Like UK has announced plans for the final two shows of its freshman run.
Actress Hannah Waddingham, an Emmy winner for her role as Ted Lasso‘s Rebecca, is set to host the Saturday, May 9 episode. Singer-songwriter and BRIT award winner Myles Smith will serve as musical guest that night.
The choice of Waddingham comes on the heels of Apple TV announcing that the UK football comedy’s soft Season 4 reboot will premiere August 5.
To close out its first, eight-episode series on May 16, SNL UK has made an appointment with a Doctor, as in Rwandan and Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa.
In addition to playing Fifteen on the long-running Doctor Who sci-fi series—for which he earned a pair of Scottish BAFTA nominations, before abruptly exiting the role last May—Gatwa is known for his run on Netflix’s Sex Education, which netted him seven total BAFTA nods and a Scottish BAFTA win in 2020.
Indie-pop singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone will serve as musical guest in the finale.
SNL UK airs across the pond Saturdays at 10 p.m. GMT on Sky One, and streams next day Stateside on Peacock.
