Big news for Saturday Night Live fans up in the Great White North.
Starting this fall with Season 52, NBC’s long-running sketch comedy series will air live in Canada each Saturday night on Bell Media’s CTV.
Episodes will also stream live/simulcast each week on Bell Media’s Crave, and be available on demand the next day on the Canadian streamer.
Currently, SNL episodes air in Canada Saturday nights on Global TV, with next-day streaming on Global’s STACKTV.
“Crave and CTV are proud to be the new home of Saturday Night Live in Canada,” Justin Stockman, Bell Media’s VP of Global Content, said in a statement. “A proven hit for over 50 years, the series has always been at the vanguard of pop culture, setting the tone for modern humour. We will be enjoying alongside viewers when the new season premieres on Crave and CTV.”
SNL this weekend was hosted by Colman Domingo (Euphoria) with musical guest Anitta. The show is now on a two-week break, before returning with its final three episodes of Season 51—hosted by Olivia Rodrigo (pulling double duty May 2), Matt Damon (May 9, with singer Noah Kahan), and Will Ferrell (May 16, with musical guest Paul McCartney).
