In a guest column for Variety, the Massachusetts senator (and 15-time Colbert guest) writes, “it is a threat to all of us that the top late-night show in the country may have been canceled in order to curry favor with a wannabe king.”

“If Paramount and CBS ended The Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know,” said California Senator Adam Schiff, who guested with Colbert last night before news of the show’s cancellation was made public.
