“Once again, free speech reigns supreme here in town,” Leno said as he was swarmed by reporters in Hollywood Thursday. “It’s a comedian talking. If they don’t like it, don’t watch it.”

Leno’s recent criticism of political comedy in late night apparently didn’t sit well with the Last Week Tonight host. “I’m going to take a hard pass on taking comedic advice from Jay Leno,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter’s Lacey Rose in a new interview.

The Daily Show host ridiculed the former Tonight Show host in a new episode of his Weekly Show podcast for questioning why late night hosts would, in Stewart’s words, “make jokes about things [they] actually think.” [via The Daily Beast]
