Kimmel was among 54 presenters announced this morning. He’s already won one Emmy this year (Outstanding Variety Special Live, for the 96th Academy Awards) and could pick up two more trophies at next Sunday’s Awardscast.
The Tonight Show‘s move to Friday repeats puts Fallon in line with Kimmel, Colbert and Meyers. “As a group, we have a little text chain of all the late-night talk show hosts,” Kimmel told reporters backstage at this weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys. “All of us sent our congratulations to Jimmy Fallon for getting Friday off.” [via Deadline]
The Jason Reitman film’s wide release is still pegged to the 49th anniversary of SNL’s series premiere on October 11th, but as Variety reports, it’s now getting a three-step platform release, landing exclusively in L.A., N.Y. and Toronto on Sept. 27, followed by a limited release on Oct. 4.
