BET is getting back into the late-night game—with Nick Cannon.
The cable channel announced Tuesday that Nick Cannon @ Night will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, with new episodes airing weekly for an initial 10-week run.
The series expands on Cannon’s video podcast of the same name, and bills itself as a new spin on the genre. Rather than monologues and topical comedy, Nick Cannon @ Night centers on love, sex, dating, relationships, and other subjects that don’t tend to take center stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! or The Tonight Show.
Episodes bring Cannon together with entertainers, creators, doctors, and other professionals, with audience questions and real-life relationship dilemmas driving the conversation.
Nick Cannon @ Night debuted July 23, 2025 on YouTube, Wondery+, and podcast platforms. Taped in front of a live Los Angeles audience, the show was pitched from the start as a reinvention of the late-night talk show, with Cannon—who has famously fathered 12 children with six different women—opening up his DMs to answer listeners’ questions about relationships and intimacy.
Recurring bits have included street interviews and “Anonymous @ Night,” in which Cannon, celebrity guests, and experts weigh in on viewer questions. Topics have ranged from gaslighting and online dating to considerably more adult fare—a notable change of pace from Cannon’s short-lived syndicated daytime talker, The Nick Cannon Show.
Cannon said the format’s evolution made BET a natural next step.
“The show has grown to be much more than just a successful podcast, so I am super excited to partner with my BET Family to expand the brand by bringing it to their programming,” he said.
The move also puts BET back in the late-night business, a space the network has visited several times over the years without establishing a long-running franchise.
The Mo’Nique Show aired weeknights from 2009 to 2011, followed in 2012 by T.J. Holmes’ topical talk show Don’t Sleep!. In 2017, BET made a more concerted push into late night with a slate that included The Rundown with Robin Thede, the Chris Rock-produced weekly news satire that ran for one season, along with 50 Central, Face Value, and, a few months later, BET’s Mancave. None made it beyond a single season.
Cannon made an earlier run at launching a more conventional late-night show. In 2018, Fox began developing a weekly topical series that would have paired him with executive producer Michael Davies. That project never made it to air.
This time, Cannon has a premiere date: Nick Cannon @ Night begins its 10-episode BET run next Tuesday, Oct. 20.
