Toni Brattin brought her viral QVC moment to The Tonight Show Monday night—and made good on her promise to bring Jimmy Fallon a wig of his own.
Brattin dropped in near the end of Fallon’s monologue, after the host revisited the viral clip he had featured on the show last week.
The QVC personality’s original slip happened last Wednesday during a live QVC demonstration of one of the wigs from her haircare line. While explaining that the wig looked as though its wearer had just gotten a blowout at a salon, she mistakenly said “blow job,” immediately realizing what had come out of her mouth.
Her reaction helped send the clip viral. Brattin began laughing and shaking her head as QVC host Terri Conn attempted to keep the segment moving, eventually sinking to the floor.
QVC embraced the blooper, sharing the clip on social media, and Fallon featured it during his Tonight Show monologue that night, replaying the moment and offering his own impression of Brattin.
“Note to all the married men out there, the wig is only available on your birthday, apparently,” Fallon joked at the time.
Brattin later told TMZ that she had seen Fallon’s impression and enjoyed it.
“I had to laugh at him as much as I had to laugh at myself,” Brattin said. “I happened to save one of those wigs just for Jimmy. And I would love to see what this wig would look like on Jimmy.”
“So, Jimmy, you just tell me when your birthday is and I’ll hand-deliver this, and we’ll see how cute you look in it.”
On Monday, Fallon replayed that interview before noting that his birthday was, in fact, coming up.
Brattin then walked onto the Tonight Show stage carrying the wig.
“I think that you handled that perfectly, by the way,” Fallon told her of the QVC incident. “You really nailed it.”
Asked what was going through her head after the slip, Brattin explained that she wasn’t quite sure where to go.
“I was kind of froze, and I was trying to decide, do I go to the left? Do I go to the right?” she said. “I just went down.”
The double entendre was not lost on Fallon.
“You can’t stop doing it,” he told her. “You’re in trouble again.”
Brattin then presented Fallon with the “famous Salon Select” wig she had promised him and helped place it on his head.
“This is how easy it is to transform,” she explained as she adjusted the hair. “Oh, look at all that hair.”
Fallon admired his new look before slipping in one more blowout joke.
“Now I am blown away,” he said.
Fallon then invited her to help kick off the rest of the show “in your style,” and the two turned their backs to the camera and lowered themselves toward the floor, mimicking Brattin’s reaction to her original QVC flub.
“We’ve got a great show for you tonight,” they said together. “Give it up for The Roots.”
Over the weekend, Brattin revealed that she had been invited to appear on Monday’s Tonight Show.
