Jon Stewart, Michael Kosta to Share Daily Show Anchor Desk This Week

After taking an extended Memorial Day break last week, Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work today with the first in a new week of Daily Show episodes.

Jon Stewart kicks things off tonight, with the show’s regular Monday-night host sitting down with Jason Bateman, who’s promoting of high-profile streaming projects: HBO’s DTF St. Louis and Netflix’s Black Rabbit.

Tonight’s appearance will mark Bateman’s first visit to The Daily Show since March 2014, during Stewart’s first run as host.

Senior Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta will then take the desk Tuesday through Thursday, marking his fourth week hosting the show so far this year.

Kosta, who last hosted the week of April 20, will welcome Dr. Thomas Mather on Tuesday. The University of Rhode Island public health entomology professor, researcher, and “The TickGuy” will join the show as tick season gets underway.

On Wednesday, Kosta will sit down with Chase Infiniti, who’s promoting Hulu’s The Testaments.

And then on Thursday, Kosta welcomes best-selling author and animal advocate Beth Stern, who’ll be promoting her new children’s book Coco and Stephen, Together Forever.

The show is scheduled to produce four weeks of new episodes this month before taking another one-week break the week of June 29.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+.
